BTW … the “freaky” pillars are meant to evoke the posts of a bed. As in the marriage feast of the Lamb in the book of Revelation. We are the Bride of Christ. The Eucharist is the closest Communion we can have with God here on earth, the closest thing we can come to how God is worshiped in heaven! In fact, Catholics view Revelation, in part, as being about the mass, the Lamb’s Supper, & how it’s a participation in the worship of God in heaven right now.
